The 1st August is the international horses’ birthday. But for us, it’s our Big Heart Day! It’s our day to show how much we LOVE horses and our day to honour the many horses who don’t get to live a long and happy life.
What:Fundraising and awareness raising event at your place!
Lincoln kisses Zoe to say thank you for her efforts for this year's Big Heart Day. Zoe made a mini film to show her school and the whole school will be buying cupcakes to support Charlie's Angels. Great work Zoe!
How:
- Host a morning tea or other event to raise funds and awareness.
- Bake cupcakes, or a heart-shaped cake. Arrange your cakes into a big heart shape. Get creative! Maybe you could run a lucky door prize or a raffle, have a dress-up event, or watch a horsey movie together.
- Take photos of your artistry (and yourselves having fun
) and email them to us for your chance to win prizes!
When:
- Anytime that suits you in the days leading up to, or just after, 1st August.
Why: To show how much you LOVE horses and to raise much-needed funds for Charlie’s Angels Horse Rescue Inc. (And you might have fun, catch up with friends, share the love, and win prizes!)
Prizes for your “at home” party:
- 1st Prize: Your choice of one of our fantastic “adopt a horse plush ponies”.
- 2nd Prize: One year’s membership to Charlie’s Angels.
Prizes are awarded by the management team for “at-home” events that clearly show how much you love horses!
